What is VaultMe
VaultMe is an automated self-service tool for migrating user content between online accounts. It is typically used by administrators performing migrations on behalf of an organization and by managed service providers.
It works best for migrations involving multiple accounts, where migrating each account individually is labor-intensive.
VaultMe is a cloud-based tool that does not require download and installation.
For migrations to and from IMAP-enabled accounts, VaultMe can be used to:
- Migrate emails between cloud-hosted user accounts belonging to the same domain
- Migrate emails between cloud-hosted user accounts belonging to different domains
For other account types, including those supporting OAuth 2.0, VaultMe offers a broader set of capabilities.
VaultMe cannot be used to:
- Migrate emails to or from on-premise accounts
- Create and set up user accounts in the destination
- Transfer account ownership
- Transfer domains
- Regain access to inaccessible accounts
- Migrate content from inactive or archived accounts that do not have valid licenses
- Export or import data in downloadable formats
For migrations to and from IMAP-enabled accounts, VaultMe supports:
- Migrations to and from business-grade and personal accounts
- Bulk migrations
- Authorization of user accounts without admin permissions
- Delta syncs for updates post-migration
- Detailed reporting
VaultMe does not support:
- Transferring user content to or from on-premise accounts
For IMAP-enabled accounts, VaultMe additionally does not support:
- Transferring files
- Transferring contacts
