Pre-migration checks

Before a migration can begin, VaultMe for Admins scans the source and destination accounts and runs several checks to confirm all accounts are ready for migration.

During the scan, the system checks the following parameters:

  • Whether the required services in the destination are enabled
  • Whether the permissions granted to the app are sufficient
  • Whether the destination accounts have enough available storage
  • Whether both environments can be accessed without connectivity issues

If any problems are detected, VaultMe for Admins lists the affected accounts along with clear error messages and recommendations for resolving the issues. Administrators should address all errors before proceeding to the next step.

After the scanning is fully complete and issues (if any) are resolved, the application displays the total number of items found in the source accounts and their combined size. Based on this information, the total price of the migration and the migration duration are calculated.

If anything changes in the accounts, administrators can initiate new scans manually.
